digiTICKET expands services to three more Oklahoma cities
Sapulpa, Catoosa and Bartlesville are now using the high-tech e-ticketing solution
Tulsa, Okla. – Tulsa-based Saltus Technologies announced today that three more Oklahoma police departments are now using digiTICKET, its electronic, ticketing solution.
The Bartlesville, Catoosa and Sapulpa Police Departments are the newest agencies to begin issuing tickets via the electronic, mobile ticketing solution. digiTICKET automates the process of issuing tickets– saving time and money while increasing officer and public safety.
"We were eager to make the transition to electronic ticketing and digiTICKET was simply the best option for our needs. Saltus is an Oklahoma based company and provides the best technical support and local innovation for our department," said Mike Haefner Deputy Chief of Police with the Sapulpa Police Department. "First and foremost our concern is for the safety of our citizens and police officers. We've seen how decreasing the amount of time it takes to write a citation can not only maximize productivity, but will also get officers and motorists off the sides of busy streets and highways, and therefore keeps both safer."
Officials in Catoosa believe the new technology will greatly enhance their productivity and better prepare them to handle the increased traffic and patrols resulting from renovated, reconstructed and recently reopened casinos and roadways.
“Like every other city, we are on a tight budget, but we also have a very popular visitor destination that keeps traffic volumes high throughout much of the evenings and weekends,” said Assistant Chief of Police John Blish “We can’t afford to continuously increase manpower, but we can increase productivity allowing our officers to spend minimal time issuing tickets and maximize time patrolling the streets to keep our citizens safe.”
The digiTICKET solution allows officers to scan a driver’s license bar code, automatically entering the driver’s data into the ticket writing software. The reduced time to issue tickets decreases the amount of time an officer is standing on the side of the road exposed to unnecessary risks.
”digiTICKET has been a success in difficult economic times because it eliminates waste and improves productivity – while also providing a tool that helps our officers make our streets more safe,” said Eric Fultz, president and CEO of Saltus. “The City of Sand Springs and Broken Arrow have both independently identified digiTICKET as a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent from periods prior to using digiTICKET.”
