Saltus Technologies first to hold patent licensing rights for ground breaking mobile application patent
Developer of digiTICKET not affected by current lawsuits
Tulsa, Okla. (March 14, 2011) –Saltus Technologies, LLC, announces that MacroSolve, Inc. has granted to Saltus a perpetual license to use technology covered by MacroSolve’s patent in Saltus’ digiTICKET product.
The Saltus team developed the initial version of the digiTICKET electronic ticketing solution while they were a division of MacroSolve, Inc. In October 2010, MacroSolve received U.S. Patent No. 7,822,816, covering mobile information collection across various platforms and networks.
As part of the separation from MacroSolve, Saltus received a perpetual license to use and sell the patented MacroSolve technology in its digiTICKET solution. As a licensee of this mobile technology, Saltus and its customers will not be affected by the law suits being brought by MacroSolve against accused infringers.
No other software provider currently has a license to use or sell this technology and MacroSolve believes that many may be infringing on the patent. As the patent holder, MacroSolve is seeking legal action against those companies allegedly using this legally-protected technology.
