Tulsa, Okla. – An independent study released today by the Economic Impact Group (EIG), estimates the continued use of digiTICKET, an electronic ticketing system, will provide returns of $450,000 by 2014 to the City of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Deployed in 2009, EIG projects the Sand Springs community will also save more than $2 million in personal and property damage from a 67 percent reduction in traffic accidents.

Saltus Technologies develops and sells digiTICKET™, an innovative electronic ticketing system designed to maximize efficiency, reduce error and increase safety for law enforcement officers. digiTICKET is the cornerstone of the company’s growth and was created with the help of Oklahoma law enforcement officials and court representatives. digiTICKET is in use by agencies in six states throughout the U.S., including recent deployments.

The Sand Springs Police Department implemented the digiTICKET electronic citation system in May 2009. As a result of the automated system, the Police Department experienced a 63 percent increase in citation and court revenue while saving $8,500 in annual reductions in administrative costs. The total number of citations issued the year after the implementation of digiTICKET nearly doubled. Additionally, the City experienced a 67 percent reduction in traffic accidents. The EIG study concludes, "The returns are overwhelmingly positive."

"We could not be more pleased with the results of implementing this technology within our department," said Mike Carter, Sand Springs Assistant Police Chief. "In simple terms, it's like adding several more patrol officers with no cost increase."

Eric Fultz, President and CEO of Saltus, states, "Our customers have assured us that digiTICKET offers a significant return on investment, so it's exciting to have EIG's independent analysis of our customer deployment since 2009. We’re proud of our offerings and continue to strive to make digiTICKET as financially attractive as possible. Our new digiTICKET-as-a-Service pricing option easily enables agencies to implement the system with no upfront cost or contractual commitment – giving our customers an immediate return on their monthly investment."
