Kansas State Police Share Data System with Local Cops

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) is making it easy, and often free, for law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Kansas to reduce costs and improve safety by increasing information flow throughout the state, as discussed in this article published by Government Technology magazine.

The article states, "Local law enforcement agencies interested in jumping on the electronic reporting bandwagon may now do it for free in Kansas."

KLERThe KHP has enhanced its statewide information sharing solution, called Kansas Law Enforcement Reports (KLER) through partnerships with Saltus Technologies and Justice Systems. The KHP KLER system has provided Kansas agencies a standard field reporting and records management data sharing platform.

The enhanced program, called the KLER Justice Solution, inetgrates Saltus's digiTICKET eCitation products and Justice Systems' FullCourt Enterprise court management product under an aggressively negotiated state-wide contract from which any Kansas agency can easily procure.

To encourage use of the system, the KHP is picking up the tab for up to three concurrent licenses for each local police department in the state that wants to try it. For more information, visit SaltusTechnologies.com/KHP.
